Welcome to this latest content series called ‘Modern Workplace News This Week’ where we curate and share with you what’s caught our attention this week in the world of Modern Workplace technologies.

To start, we will be concentrating on Microsoft 365 as our core Modern Workplace technology. In the coming months, we will gradually bring you news about Modern Workplace technologies from outside the realm of Microsoft 365.

The curated content is categorised into:

  • Teamwork
  • Productivity
  • Sites and Portals
  • Content Services
  • Business Solutions
  • Product Updates

Okay, let's get into it!

7th July 2020 - Lot of innovation coming to Microsoft Teams

Jared Spataro, Corporate Vice President for Microsoft 365 has released a series of new features coming to Microsoft Teams part of the Modern Workplace initiative to support remote work.

Our top 3 new features announced are:

  1. Dynamic view - A set of enhancements we call dynamic view gives you more control over how you see shared content and other participants in a meeting. Using AI, meetings dynamically optimize shared content and video participants.
  2. Microsoft Whiteboard updates - Whiteboard in Teams will soon be updated with new features including faster load times, sticky notes, text, and drag and drop capabilities.
  3. Tasks app - new unified view of tasks from across Microsoft To Do, Planner, and Outlook. Smart lists like “Assigned to me” bring tasks together across different shared plans, whether you’re on desktop, web, or mobile. Add Tasks as a tab in a channel and get your familiar Planner tab experience with the new list view.

Check out the full article for more details of all the new innovative features coming to Microsoft Teams. We can’t wait to get our hands on these new features and make some video tutorials on to use them in your business context.

15th July - New research suggests the way (timings) we work are changing and remote work is not easy on the mental wellbeing.

What is Productivity Score?

Productivity Score helps organizations transform how work gets done with insights about how people use Microsoft 365 and the technology experiences that support them.
